Product Description

How do you remove air from a Submersible Pump?

The air in the Micro Submersible Pump can be discharged manually or automatically.

There are two manual exhaust methods:

1. Manual rotation exhaust hole: There is a manual rotation device at the exhaust hole of the submersible pump, which can discharge the gas through the following steps: first, open the exhaust hole cover plate; Then, rotate the exhaust hole by hand to discharge the gas; Finally, close the exhaust hole cover plate. During the exhaust process, it is necessary to ensure that the exhaust hole cover plate is sealed to prevent gas from entering the pump body again.

2. Disassemble the exhaust cover: If the exhaust port of the submersible pump is equipped with an exhaust cover, the gas can be discharged according to the following steps: first, make sure that the submersible pump stops running; Then, remove the exhaust cover; Next, discharge the gas; Finally, install the exhaust cover. When disassembling the exhaust cover, it is necessary to disconnect the cable to avoid accidents.

The automatic exhaust method is achieved by installing an automatic exhaust device.

If none of the above methods can solve the problem, it may be caused by the following reasons:

1. If the ambient temperature is too high, air will expand, causing negative pressure in the pipeline or pump and introducing a large amount of air

2. The water depth at the pump inlet is too shallow, making it difficult to discharge air.

3. The water level of the water source drops and air is sucked in.

4. Air leakage inside the pump, introducing air.

5. The pump is stopped for a long time and air is introduced.

Why eliminate air from micro submersible pumps?

It is important to remove air from the Small Submersible Pump, as the presence of air can have a negative impact on the efficiency and performance of the submersible pump. The following are the reasons for excluding air in micro submersible pumps:

1. Efficiency decline: After air enters the submersible pump, it will occupy the internal space of the pump, reduce the volume of liquid passing through the pump, and lead to a decrease in pump efficiency. This means that submersible pumps require more energy to transport the same amount of liquid, increasing energy consumption and operating costs.

2. Cavitation phenomenon: When air mixes with water inside the submersible pump, bubbles will form. When these bubbles are compressed by high-pressure water flow, they will suddenly burst, generating local impact force and high temperature. This cavitation phenomenon can cause damage to the impeller and other components of the submersible pump, shortening the service life of the pump.

3. Pump stability: The presence of air inside the submersible pump may cause unstable operation, resulting in noise and vibration. This not only affects the normal operation of the pump, but may also cause interference to the surrounding environment.

4. Reduce head: The presence of air will reduce the head of the submersible pump, which is the height at which the liquid is pumped. This is very important for applications that require high head.

What does priming a Mini Submersible Pump mean?

The "filling" of a micro 1.5 inch submersible pump usually refers to adding an appropriate amount of lubricating oil or water to the submersible pump to ensure its normal operation and extend its service life. For submersible pumps, proper lubrication and cooling are crucial for maintaining their performance and preventing damage.

For the filling of lubricating oil, it is usually necessary to use engine oil suitable for the submersible pump model. Different models of submersible pumps may require different types of oil, so it is necessary to carefully read the manual or consult professionals before use. When adding oil, it is necessary to use tools such as an oil injector or manual pump to slowly pour the oil into the oil port, while observing the oil level to ensure that it is not too much or insufficient.

In addition, if the submersible pump needs to operate in water, it is necessary to ensure that the pump body is fully wetted to prevent the motor from overheating and burning out. This usually requires injecting an appropriate amount of water into the pump body before use to ensure normal water circulation.

What happens if the DC Submersible Pump is not primed when starting?

If lubricating oil or water is not primed when starting the electric submersible pump, the following situations may occur:

1. Mechanical wear: Submersible pumps require lubricating oil to reduce friction between mechanical components during operation. If lubricating oil is not added, mechanical components will directly rub, causing excessive wear and may even cause mechanical components to jam or be damaged.

2. Noise and vibration: Submersible pumps lacking lubricating oil will produce more noise and vibration, which not only affects the effectiveness of use, but may also endanger the safety of the submersible pump.

3. Performance degradation: Due to excessive wear and tear on mechanical components, the performance of submersible pumps may decrease and fail to meet the expected pumping needs.

4.Motor overheating: If the submersible pump operates without water, the motor may burn out due to overheating. Because the motor generates heat during operation, this heat needs to be dissipated through water circulation. Without water circulation, heat will accumulate inside the motor, causing it to overheat.

Why is my miniature submersible water pump not holding pressure?

There may be multiple reasons why micro submersible pumps cannot maintain pressure. The following are some possible reasons and solutions:

1. Insufficient lubricating oil: Insufficient lubricating oil in submersible pumps can affect pump efficiency, leading to insufficient pressure. The solution is to check the oil level and add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to ensure that the pump body is adequately lubricated.

2. Damaged pump blades: If the blades of a submersible pump are damaged, it will reduce the efficiency of the pump and thus affect the pressure. At this point, it is necessary to check whether the pump blades are damaged, and if any components are damaged, they should be replaced in a timely manner.

3. High water temperature: If the water temperature is too high, the air valve of the submersible pump may not be able to fully open, resulting in insufficient pressure. The solution is to ensure that the water temperature is within the appropriate range, or take cooling measures to lower the water temperature.

4. Pump port blockage: If the outlet of a submersible pump is blocked, it will lead to a decrease in pump efficiency, thereby affecting pressure. It is necessary to check if there is any blockage at the pump port and clean it in a timely manner.

5. Motor failure: Motor failure may also cause the submersible pump to fail to maintain pressure. At this point, it is necessary to check whether the motor is running normally. If there is a malfunction, it needs to be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.

6. Import valve issue: If the import valve components are damaged or fail, such as the valve stem seal failure or the import valve not fully opened, it will affect the drainage and pressure of the submersible pump. It is necessary to inspect and repair the imported valve to ensure its normal operation.

7. Submersible pump compression pipeline is too long: The compression pipeline is too long or too small, which may lead to a decrease in drainage and pressure. It is necessary to check the installation of the submersible pump to ensure that the pipeline length and diameter are appropriate.

8. Placement depth issue: If the submersible pump is not properly placed in a horizontal position or not fully immersed in water, it will affect the pump's displacement and pressure. It is necessary to check the placement depth and horizontal position of the submersible pump to ensure that it meets the requirements for use.
